Located in the Nanjing West Road Historical Conservation Area, Shanghai Zhangyuan was built in 1882. It is Shanghai's largest, best-preserved, and most diverse complex of mid-to-late Shikumen architecture, known as the "First Garden of Shanghai." As Shanghai's first protective renewal project involving "Acquisition for preservation, relocating residents while retaining the structures." it uses "one building, one file" detailed archiving, traditional craftsmanship restoration, and modern reinforcement to preserve the Lilong fabric and historical character. APG utilized full-lifecycle BIM to support the delicate relocation and repair of historic structures and underground development, while establishing a digital foundation for long-term smart management.
